cliche

It's not that world was in grayscale and pixels in the past. Neither was it in stereotypical 35mm or blockbuster 70mm anyway, the point to this argumentative intuition is the past is the present. If the present is niether in film, blueray nor 1080p then why must they be portrayed with the washed out high exposure film filter. Just this conversation doesn't dig holes on the grounds to totally cancel such editing but just it seemed over cliche now.

The dramatic passage of time with just filters transitions and narratives. When a natural transitions is brought in with introduction of subtle details on the properly studied historic-artistic background, conversations and the character with similar convincing medium of portrayal. Such a medium which sought effort full work, with simple presentation, hence art to be perceived with comfortable simplicity and greater closeness which is absorbed.
